University of Oregon (UO) Resources                                                               
  • Industry, Innovation, and Translation (IIT) Team: Provides startup curricula, 

    investor connections, and commercialization support.

  • Launch Oregon: Partners with IIT to connect innovators with investors, advisors, 

    and resources, turning research into commercial ventures. Offers board formation, 

    leadership hiring, and investor outreach.

  • Steve Blank Startup Tools: Free online course and materials on building startups, 

    including Udacity’s How to Build a Startup.

  • UO Libraries: Access to databases for market and industry research.
  • Provost’s Mentoring Initiative & NSF I-Corps Method: Free online training in 

    customer discovery and commercialization, with potential for $50,000 grants.

  • Onward Women’s Network: Leadership and entrepreneurship program for

Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN) – Portland Metro
  • Over 60 organizations, including accelerators, incubators, co-working spaces, 

    and university programs:

    • Impact Entrepreneurs (PSU) – curriculum integrating social, 

      environmental and ethical issues.

    • Lean Portland – Lean concepts workshops and networking.
    • Mercatus – Directory and storytelling for entrepreneurs of color.
    • Metro Region Innovation Hub – Coordinates regional innovation 

      services for Clackamas,  Multnomah, and Washington counties.

Statewide & Regional Networks
  • Business Oregon: Administers programs like the Oregon SBDC Network 

    (20 regional centers with business plan, financial, and marketing advice), 

    Small Business Development Centers, and State Small Business Credit 

    Initiative technical assistance.

  • Innovate Collaborate Oregon (ICOregon): Statewide network of Oregon 

    Universities offering a searchable technology portal, funding opportunities, 

    and networking for entrepreneurs.
