About LCRD
The Linn County Road Department is the third largest department in Linn County. We employ 68 full-time personnel and up to eighteen temporary, seasonal personnel. We are responsible for the maintenance of approximately 1,139 miles of roadway and 326 bridges, as well as hundreds of culverts and other minor structures.
Our main facility is located in Albany. We have four satellite facilities located near the cities of Halsey, Scio, Lebanon, and Sweet Home. Our road network is divided into four maintenance districts. Our Albany Maintenance Crew, as well as our Construction, Bridge, and Traffic Control crews work out of our Albany facility. Our other Maintenance Crews are based at the satellite facilities.
Our Fleet Maintenance Facility, also located in Albany, provides maintenance support for all of our vehicles and equipment, as well as vehicles from other local agencies and ODOT.
The Road Department Engineering Division is based at our Albany facility. The County Engineer and her staff provide engineering support to the Road Department and other departments as needed.
The Road Department is also responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Linn Regional Fueling Facility, a cooperative card-lock fuel facility that serves various local agencies.
