Tennessee Rd Bridge Information

Bridge Reduced to One Lane:

The State of Oregon contracts to have bridges inspected on a two-year cycle. Linn County received notice from ODOT on Thursday, June 5th, about extensive decay that significantly affects the structural sufficiency of our bridge on Tennessee Road. This decay is in a substructure component under the northbound lane of the bridge.

ODOT's Division of Bridge Engineering provided guidance to Linn County to immediately close the bridge. As an alternative, closing the northbound lane to divert all traffic to the southbound lane is determined to be safe, while still providing access to the public to cross Mark's Slough.

Linn County Road Department is evaluating options for repair. Our Bridge Maintenance Division has a full schedule already, with other priority bridges. We will prioritize repair on this bridge early in 2026. Tentatively, that repair is anticipated to be scheduled in April or May.
