Druckenmiller memorial Oct. 29 at Fair & Expo Center

ALBANY — A memorial service for former Linn County Clerk and Commissioner Steve Druckenmiller will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Linn County Fair & Expo Center.

Druckenmiller, 73, died Sept. 24 after a six-month battle with cancer.

He was the second-longest serving elected official in the history of Linn County, serving as county clerk for 37 years and 44 total years as a Linn County employee, including serving as an interim Linn County Commissioner.

Druckenmiller will lie in state on the second-floor rotunda of the Linn County Courthouse on Friday evening, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28.
