Interior Design Internships

Linn County General Services offers Interior Design Internships to students who qualify.  Interns learn how to work in an office environment, how to work as a team and learn how to independently manage projects.  Interns are paid an hourly rate and are required to work 12-19 hours per week.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be minimum of Junior or Senior Standing in related major
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
  • Must be competent in Revit / AutoCAD software

Interior Design

Scope of Work:

  • AutoCAD and REVIT layouts on commercial buildings
  • Space planning
  • Handle estimates, bids, and purchase orders
  • Material specification
  • Color selection
  • Client communication
  • Interior art projects

Current Projects:

  • Establishing color and materials standards for County buildings
  • Architectural trim designs on buildings
  • Space planning of offices in newly acquired property
