A Letter from Our Director
The Director of the Linn County Juvenile Department, Torri Lynn, wrote a letter to parents & guardians in an effort to raise awareness about recent changes in Oregon Law regarding juveniles and Marijuana use. We hope this letter encourages you to have conversations with your middle or high school aged teen about marijuana use and the fact that it remains illegal for juveniles to use or possess marijuana.
If you’d like more information or have questions, we’ve created a parent-guardian resource webpage. You will find a wide range of information on this page, from tips on your teens’ use of social media, to recognizing some signs of substance abuse, to information on how marijuana affects the adolescent brain.
Feel free to read the available resources and call or email us with questions.
